Take a read of our January Newsletter. New to 2015, our newsletters will highlight delaership news, general motoring news and information.
So the decorations are down, you have eaten enough turkey sandwiches, turkey soup, turkey curry and turkey casserole to last a lifetime! The morning alarm clocks have been set and you are slowly returning back to normality. We hope that you and your loved ones have had an enjoyable Christmas period and those New Year’s resolutions have not been too tough so far.
After a very successful 2014, thanks to all of our customers, we are set to take things to the next level in what should be a very exciting 2015! However, one thing we promise as we grow and move forward is that we will not lose the friendly and approachable attitude that has served us well for over 30 years.
One of this year’s first major improvements is to our website (www.lawson-cars.co.uk) and our social media pages. We have spent a long time speaking with our web developer, tweaking and changing different aspects of the site to ensure that it not only looks good but is pleasurable to navigate ensuring you find exactly what you want each time you visit. On the new website you can view all of our stock, apply for finance, make service and MOT bookings, plus more. We would appreciate you taking a moment to look around the new site when you get chance and giving us feedback via email to firstname.lastname@example.org as to any items you like, items you don’t like, items that don’t appear to work as you would expect……..any feedback will be gratefully received and acted upon accordingly.
In 2014 we added 2 x VW group trained senior technicians, Simon & Nathan, who both come with a wealth of knowledge in service, diagnostic and repair. Simon is a VW Transporter specialist and has a customer base that will only allow him to work on their vehicles. Whilst Nathan has vast knowledge in classic VW and Audi cars and can often be found tinkering with a project or 3 in his garage at home. Also in the workshop, we have added another 2 ramps to enable the technicians to carry on with routine service work whilst waiting for parts on larger tasks which previously held up waiting jobs. This enables more customers to book ‘waiting’ appointments causing minimal disruption to their daily schedule.
Our apprentice technician ‘Ben’ who is now in his second year at college is impressing his supervisor, manager and tutors with his enthusiasm to learn and attention to detail. He is enjoying shadowing Nathan on some of the more technical jobs we get and we look forward to the day he his competent enough to undertake them on his own, keep up the good work Ben!
On the sales side of the business we have widened the range of stock we carry moving into other prestige marques with Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Jaguar and Porsche whilst continuing to stock the quality Audi and Volkswagen cars we have become known for. We have also started to carry a number of cars from the volume sector including Ford, Vauxhall, Nissan and Hyundai. Overall we have increased our average stock numbers from 45 cars to 60 cars with a mission this year to aim towards the magic 100 mark! These changes have been made and are continuing to be made so that we can offer our customers a wider range of high quality used cars all on one forecourt.
As you settle back into your normal routine, don’t forget that for most people, their car has spent a lot of time stood in the cold over the last 2-3 weeks. Brakes can become seized, electrics can get damp, and batteries can become low. Don’t leave it to chance, why not let us give your car a FREE check over? You can book by calling us on 01642 242749 or booking through our new website (www.lawson-cars.co.uk).
