COVID-19 Safety Notice
As restrictions begin to ease in the wake of the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, at Lawson Cars we would like to reassure you that as a valued customer, your health, safety and well-being is paramount and at the forefront of our operation throughout all of our departments.
We have taken several steps to ensure you can visit us and feel confident that your health and safety is protected. We have enlisted the services of a local cleaning specialist to deep clean and sanitise our site. We have increased the amount of times our staff clean and sterilise commonly used areas around the site including all customer facing areas. These common touch areas include door handles, counter tops, restroom facilities, tables, chairs and waiting areas.
When on site you will notice polite reminders in the form of stickers and posters to adhere to social distancing and remain a minimum of 2 metres from staff and other customers at all times. We have a sanitising station by the front door of the showroom with hand sanitiser and disposable gloves for all customers to use.
All of our returning staff have completed COVID-19 awareness training to ensure both themselves, and you, our customers are protected at all times.
What is the procedure now we are open? Our showroom has re-opened but remains on a strict appointment based system to control the number of people inside to ensure the safety of all of our customers and staff. Should you wish to make an appointment to view a car, please call a member of the team on 01642 242749 or use one of our contact forms.
Where can you view our cars? All of our current stock is available to be viewed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on our website. Each used car listing is full of key information together with tools such as part exchange valuation, finance quotations, eligibility checks and more. You can even reserve a car and apply securely for finance.
What happens after I reserve a car online? A colleague will contact you to discuss your reservation further, provisionally value any part exchange, confirm payment method and any associated finance approval. Once everything has been explained and organised, we will prepare the car for you to collect.
How do I collect? Once the car has been prepared, you will be invited to the dealership where we will carry out a ‘contactless collection’. Whilst on site you will view and test drive your new car to ensure you are completely satisfied before finalising the paperwork. Whilst on test drive we can appraise any part exchange and confirm its value. We then take any payment or activate your new finance agreement, transfer the car into your name with the DVLA and you drive away!
What additional steps are we taking? During these uncertain times we are constantly reviewing government advice and guidelines as to the health and safety of both our staff and our customers. Whenever cars are being moved around site, steering wheel covers and seat covers are being used. We are encouraging contactless payment wherever possible either by debit card, bank transfer or electronic finance agreement.
For more information on how we are operating under government restrictions please contact us on 01642 242749 or send us a message.
Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you to all NHS and frontline services. The work you do is unbelievable and we cannot begin to imagine how restrictive working in these conditions must be for you. We want you to know that, whatever your motoring requirements, you will be given priority to ensure you are able to carry on your duties in helping every one of us. THANK YOU!
